Renewable Energy Grants

NSW Gov – Clean Engery Projects

Growing Community Energy is a program to build the community energy sector in NSW through grants, market development and capacity building initiatives. It represents the NSW Government’s commitment to empowering communities to develop and own renewable energy projects.

On 30 October 2014, the Hon. (Rob) Robert Stokes MP, Minister for the Environment, launched the Growing Community Energy grants, calling for applications from community energy groups for grants of up to $70,000.

The Growing Community Energy grants will fund early stage development of community energy projects, recognising that community energy projects face prohibitive start-up costs. The grants will finance pre-feasibility studies, community engagement and planning to help create viable community-owned business models that can attract further investment.

Applications are open until 12pm 15 December 2014 and can be made by completing the growing community energy
Grant Application Form and submitting it to
clean.energy@environment.nsw.gov.au.

Follow the Growing Community Energy Guidelines to ensure your application has the best possible chance of receiving a grant.
