Duralie Coal Mine – Council Community Grants Committee

The Development consent for the Duralie Coal Mine requires the payment to Council of monies to be used for enhancing ‘Community Infrastructure’. Projects within the Stroud, Stroud Road, and Wards River area.

Council resolved at its Ordinary meeting of 23 September 2014 to call for expressions of interest in assessing applications made by the public for Duralie Community Infrastructure Enhancement funding.

Great Lakes Council are now calling for nominations for two (2) community representatives to sit on this Committee for the purpose of assessing these applications for Duralie Coal Community Enhancement funding. If successful, appointment to the Committee will be for a period of 2 years.

Please forward your nominations to the address below by 26 November 2014, detailing relevant background and community support;
