Cracker Night

The annual Spring ‘Bash ‘n Bang’ Family Bonfire & Fireworks is on Saturday night 4 October.

This legendary event allows the community to experience a real cracker night – ‘the way it used to be’. Bring a chair and say good-bye to winter alongside our roaring bonfire before the night’s sky fills with all the colours of spring.

2014 will see the return of local amateur astronomer, Dustin Hodges who will allow budding stargazers to get up close and personal with one very impressive telescope. For a gold coin donation, you can view not only the stars and moon but more incredibly, Mars and even Saturn surrounded by its rings and own moons. Well worth having a look – young and old alike.

Talented local female vocalists Tiana Snowdon & Amber Tull will entertain the crowd with musical performances of current & classic numbers.

Admission Prices

Adults and High School students – $10.00
Kinder to Year 6 – $3.00

Hot foods and drinks will be available for sale and the huge ‘Random Raffle’ will be drawn just prior to the start of the fireworks with prizes gratefully donated by many supportive businesses.

Our Association would also like to advise owners of animals sensitive to noise to take appropriate measures to ensure their wellbeing.

The event is organised by the Stroud Road Community Hall & Progress Association Inc. as a major fundraiser for the ongoing management & maintenance of the Stroud Road Community Hall, one of only two wholly community owned halls in the Great Lakes Council area.
