Guest speaker is John Chadban OAM, Four generations of John’s family have lived in Stroud. He was a founding member and later president of Stroud and District Historical Society, and is former mayor of Great Lakes Council. The book will be available for purchase on the day.
Stay for supper and a great movie
Following the launch, we invite you to have a meal at the club and stay for the group’s annual fundraising movie night starting at 7.30pm. The featured movie is Forty Thousand Horsemen commemorating the centenary of the legendary charge at Beersheba on October 31, 1917.
Members of the Australian Light Horse Association will provide a display and give a talk prior to the film.
