If you ever wanted to be in a movie, now is your chance

Belbora resident and published author, Beverley Boorer is turning the first book of her science fiction series into a movie and is due to start filming in Gloucester next month.

Bev is currently auditioning for the cast of her book-turn movie, Escape.

She has put out a casting call for young and old, to be a part of the experience of making a movie which is due to be almost completely filming in the Gloucester area.

“I want it to be done locally, with local scenery,” Bev said.

The idea to turn the book into a movie came from a chance meeting between Bev and fellow published author, Manfred Koch. Bev explained how Manfred told her that he understood the difficulties in marketing his own work and felt he could do better with someone else’s.

According to Jill Koch, Manfred’s wife and film producer, Manfred was so taken by Bev’s enthusiasm about her book, he offered to help her make a movie. Using his film studies background, he’ll take the role of director.

They are holding auditions over the next couple of weeks.
