ClubGRANTS now open

Applications close Friday 7 April

The annual ClubGRANTS program is now open and MidCoast Council is encouraging community organisations to apply.

Grants are made available through NSW clubs that earn over $1 million annually in gaming machine revenue. In the MidCoast Council region, that means funds will be available in both the Great Lakes and Manning areas.

In previous years funds have been allocated to a diverse range of community projects including support for the Women’s Shelter, programs for young people at risk and those with chronic illnesses.

“This funding is administered by local representatives who have an in-depth knowledge of our area, so local needs can be funded” said Council’s Community Development Coordinator Lyndie Hepple.

“Our Clubs will continue our commitment to the community by providing funding that is spread as far as possible across a wide variety of local projects, whilst providing the greatest tangible benefit to the needs of our area” assured the club representatives from the ClubGRANTS Local Committee.

In the Great Lakes area, MidCoast Council administers the ClubGRANT program on behalf of the clubs, and community groups can apply for funds online at http://www.midcoast.nsw.gov.au/Community/Grants-and-Funding.

In the Manning area, clubs administer the program themselves, so applicants can apply for funds by checking the ClubGRANTS website at www.clubsnsw.com.au (search for Greater Taree region).

Unfortunately, with no Gloucester-based clubs meeting the revenue criteria this year, funds will not be available in the Gloucester area this time around.

Applications for ClubGRANTS open on Monday 27 February and close on Friday 7 April 2017.
