Share the dignity

A couple of local ladies Suzanne Strauss and Lisa Smith have put the call out to get behind the Share The Dignity campaign. The ‘It’s In The Bag’ initiative aims to support women experiencing hardship this Christmas. Much of the focus at Christmas time is on the kids but women often put the needs of others before their own, so #itsinthebag is all about making them feel special.

The concept

  • Donate a handbag you no longer use.
  • Fill it with items that could be practical or special such as; scarf, hair ties, shampoo, conditioner, hand cream, body lotion, perfume, deodorant, pads or tampons, toothbrush, toothpaste, book, sunscreen, lip gloss, hair brush, turby twist, etc … you get the idea. Remember practical items can seem very special if you can’t afford them.
  • Please DON’T INCLUDE; Food, chocolate, alcohol, pharmaceuticals, or sharps, razors etc.
  • Drop of the bag to the designated drop off point in your area by Friday 25 November | or to 14a William Street Raymond Terrace by Saturday 3 December.

Suzanne and Lisa have offered to be the drop off points for Stroud & Booral.
If the girls aren’t home please leave the bags on the veranda.
