When tourism is thriving in Gloucester and the Barrington Tops businesses all along the Bucketts Way benefit. The recent Easter break and the school holidays have seen numerous tourists make the journey up the Bucketts Way stopping along the way to pick up supplies.
To further boost tourism in the region the Gloucester Visitor Information Centre has launched a new television advertising campaign from April 21. The 30 second and 15 second commercials will be aired on local networks NBN and Southern Cross over the coming months. Targeting the following areas; northern suburbs of Sydney, Central Coast, Hunter, Mid North Coast to the Queensland boarder and New England, which account for 41 percent of visitors to our region.
“Our last television campaign was in 2011 so we are very excited to get our new footage on air. Destination marketing is funded by local tourism membership contributions, which we have saved for 2 years, so there has been no cost to ratepayers.” Wendy Hughes, the manager of the Gloucester Visitor Information Centre said.
