Good luck ladies
your contribution to the Stroud community is greatly appreciated
Great Lakes Council’s official Australia Day ceremony is at Club Forster, 19 Strand Street Forster. Everyone is welcome to attend the award ceremony today at 10.30am.
Jacqueline Versace
Jacqueline Versace of Stroud is another of our region’s local heroes and is thoroughly deserving of her nomination for ‘Citizen of the Year’ in our Australia Day Awards.
Jackie has worked tirelessly for the Stroud community as a proud member of the Stroud Lions Club. Jackie was also a key person involved in the operation of Stroud Market.
During the April 2015 storms, Jackie was a real source of strength, doing what she could to help with recovery and assistance to those affected by the flood.
Sue Filson
Sue Filson of Booral is another of our deserving Australia Day Awards nominees. She’s up for ‘Local Champion of the Arts’ award.
Sue has been nominated for her work with the Stroud Writers group. Through the group, weekly entertainment is provided to Stroud Community Lodge Aged Care facility residents, promoting discussion and storytelling. The group also provides speakers and oral history discussions through Stroud Support Services.
Thanks so much for your wonderful work in Stroud Sue.
