Courses coming up at Dungog Community College

Do you want to learn something new this year? Dungog Community College is offering a range of courses to boost your qualifications and inspire your creativity.

Certificate III in Individual Care

This is the brand-new qualification that replaces the old Aged Care, Home & Community Care and Disability courses. This popular course offers great career prospects and is coming to Dungog in February.

French for travellers

Enjoy six fun lessons with Jillian Ford to give you the rudiments of getting around in a French speaking country. Learn how to ask for help, introduce yourself, catch a bus or train, book a room, shop, dining out and much more. The course will improve your French vocabulary and covers a smattering of grammar, but mostly it’ll be about conversation in a light-hearted atmosphere.

Provide First Aid

First Aid Certification is considered mandatory for many jobs – Provide First Aid will teach you all aspects of routine first aid, to a certificate standard. What’s covered in the course: CPR for adults and infants, fractures, sprains, burns, control of bleeding, responding to heart attack, asthma, snakebites and exposure, and much more. All led by experienced district local Sonja Medcalf (Registered Training Organisation Parasol Ltd).
