Education and Training Grants 2016
To be eligible University and TAFE applicants need to have completed their schooling at Gloucester High School. For the business subsidies, applicants need to be locally owned or operated businesses.
Applications are invited from interested persons and businesses for financial assistance grants for 2016 in the following categories:
Tertiary Assistance Grants
$2000 per grant. For intending or currently enrolled university applicants who have not previously received a grant.
Trainee Scholarship in Planning (UNE)
Grant of $2500pa for 2 years. Applicants will be required to enrol in the course: Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning at UNE. Scholarship recipients will be required to undertake 6 weeks work experience training with Gloucester Shire Council in each of the first two years of the course.
TAFE Course Benefits
$1000 per benefit.
Apprenticeships/Traineeships Subsidies
Up to $6000 over three years to assist local businesses to employ an apprentice or trainee.
All grants, benefits, scholarships and subsidies will be awarded on the basis of the quality of the written application.
WHERE TO APPLY | Application forms will be available at Gloucester High School and at the Council administration centre from Thursday 4 November.
