Following the success of last year’s sold-out concert, The Friends of St John’s are delighted to announce that the Waratah Male Voice Choir, under new Musical Director, Annette Phillis, will be returning to Stroud to perform a Sunday Afternoon Concert on 23 August in the fine acoustics of Stroud’s historic St John’s church.
The concert begins at 2pm and features a wonderful selection of choral and solo items, from Welsh hymns to songs from popular musicals like South Pacific and My Fair Lady and Bach organ preludes. Local talents are also showcased, including accomplished brass player, Oliver Wheeler, and our very own Stroud Crowd Choir. Afternoon tea will be served after the concert in the Parish Hall by the St John’s Ladies Guild.
Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children, and may be purchased from Stroud Newsagency, Stroud Pharmacy, Stroud Post Office or at the door on the day of the concert.
