Rain Fall Data – Mill Creek
Debbi Delaney is the Great Lakes Council – Karuah River Catchment Officer and is collecting rain fall data relating to April 19 & 20. Council is looking for rainfall data from across the catchment, however particularly in Mill Creek of roughly the 24 hour period of the heaviest rainfall. This will then be used to quantify the magnitude of the flood, for example was it a 1 in 100 year event, 1 in 200 year event etc. This will assist in both the immediate re-building process (e.g. at the showground, roads etc.), as well as providing useful information for future flood planning for Stroud / the catchment.
If you have any rainfall data that you are happy to share, could you please forward this to debbi.delaney@greatlakes.nsw.gov.au – 6591 7378 or 0427 540 260, along with the following details
- Your name and contact details
- Location of data (i.e. Mill Creek: 1049 Mill Creek Rd, Stroud)
- Time collected (if possible)
- Amount (preferably in millimetres, not inches if possible)
