Jiggle Bugs on Holidays – The Gift of Giving
The theme for this Jiggle Bugs On Holidays is ‘Helping Other People’. Children will be helping to fill Christmas shoe-boxes for Smaritans Purse to go to children in developing countries through ‘Operation Christmas Child’.
There will be some items for the boxes, however, we welcome the children to bring in small gifts suitable to fill the boxes. Items should be new and non-perishable. For more information about how the project works and suggestions of suitable items please visit

Fermentation Festival – Stroud Market
Something for everyone – big kids and little kids alike. We’ll be celebrating all things fermented – from the ground up.
A free kids workshop to learn how to make fermented sour dough bread, not to be missed…

Sports Gala Event
Presented by the Hunter Sports Academy and other local sporting associations. Come along and try some different sporting activities, or learn new skills, get active and make new friends.

COST Free event
This event is open to all children aged 5 to 16years, however children under the age of 8 will NOT be able to participate in swimming or archery – they will do other sports activities. Children will try each sport offered on the day and will walk accompanied, between each sport. A free sausage sizzle will be provided, plus the canteen will be open to buy other snacks.

Stroud Country Fair
Stroud is going to Paint the Town Pink at the country fair to be held in the Main Street. There will be street stalls, open gardens, mock trial in the court house performed by local school children plus airing of the quilts which will be displayed in businesses, St Johns and Uniting Churches (Saturday & Sunday 9am-3pm).
4 October
Stroud Road Fireworks
From 6pm onwards – 2014 will see the return of local amateur astronomer, Dustin Hodges who will allow budding stargazers to get up close and personal with one very impressive telescope. For a gold coin donation, you can view not only the stars and moon but more incredibly, Mars and even Saturn surrounded by its rings and own moons. Well worth having a look – young and old alike.
