Saturday 5 July

The ‘Out of Africa’ Main Street Parade starts at 10.30am with the official competition opening at Stroud Showground at 12noon.  You’ll find the program and all your Brick n Pin information right here www.stroudbrickthrowing.com.au
This year our very own Beryl Bowden, with the assistance of her daughter Lyndell Davey will throw the first Rolling Pin to open the competition. Lyndell won the Rolling Pin Throwing competition on several occasions and even traveled to Stroud in the US to compete. Over the years Beryl has worked tirelessly with the Brickthrowing Committee. Beryl would collect as many young ladies as she could, and hold Rolling Pin Throwing coaching sessions at the Showground prior to the main event.
The family commitment continues in 2014, with Anne Frost, Beryl’s daughter taking the role as announcer during the event.
Sandy Wilson with the assistance of his son Jamie Wilson will throw the first brick of our competition. Over the years Sandy assisted the Brickthrowing Committee in many ways, his dedication will never be forgotten.
