Invitation to the community

Information provided by Great Lakes Council;

As part of Great Lakes Council’s ongoing commitment to inform the community of its plans and provide opportunities for community participation, you are invited to participate in a community meeting with Councillors and senior staff from Council.

Where | Stroud School of Arts Hall
When | Wednesday 14 May 6pm

“This is a great opportunity for all residents to come along and hear about some significant happenings both at Council and in local government generally. Council has devoted time during April to the development of its 2014/2015 Operational Plan, including specific discussions on asset management planning, Council’s long term financial position and plan, proposed capital works, rating and revenue scenarios, and programs and services to be delivered in 2014/2015” said General Manager Glenn Handford.

“Improvements in Council’s financial position and asset management capabilities are due in part to the support we have received from the community and we continue to strategically address these critical areas” Mr Handford said.

The Mayor, Cr Jan McWilliams added that “Council has continued to focus on providing services that meet community needs and has made a number of significant achievements in this regard.”

“The community meetings will occur at several locations and I encourage you to take this opportunity to learn about what your Council is doing and ask questions of Councillors and senior management” said the Mayor.

Tea Gardens (Baptist Church Hall)
