LLS Election Results
Local Lands Services has announced the successful candidates in the inaugural Local Land Service elections. Local Land Services Chair of the Board of Chairs, John Macarthur-Stanham, said while the elections were not without some issues, they resulted in 34 strong candidates being elected to join the Local Land Services Boards in 11 regions across NSW.
The Hunter Board members are Peter Bishop Jnr, Ronald Campbell and Terry Gorman.

ABC’s of grazing & fertiliser management for small properties
1 day workshop
Are you the owner of a small property, ‘weekender’, ‘tree changer’ or hobby farmer? This FREE field day is for you. The workshop is designed to give you a better understanding of the following;
- Landscapes and the implications for management
- Grazing strategies
- Principals of fertiliser use
The same workshop is being held at two separate locations over the weekend. Lunch is provided but please bring a chair, water, hat and wear sturdy shoes.

Pasture and grazing management workshop for commercial producers – Stroud
3 day workshop
Properties within the Karuah River Catchment are eligible to receive 2 complementary soil tests per property, funded by the Great Lakes Council. Additional soil sampling may be undertaken at the landholder’s cost (soil samples to be collected prior to Thursday 10 April).

- Plant growth and pasture dynamics – how to maximise pasture growth through grazing management.
- Pasture water use efficiency – how to make the best use of rain where it falls
- Soils and nutrients, including the interpretation of 2 soil tests from your property

- Feed budgeting
- In the paddock – monitoring & assessing pasture condition

- Develop a grazing plan for your property and livestock for the coming season
